Incident Commander Training

Most incidents involve a single incident commander, a person coordinating the incident response and making decisions. The command structure is usually broken down into Gold, Silver and Bronze command. However, all your team should be capable of coordinating that initial response and maintaining order until one of the command elements arrive on scene.

At Praetorian Services our certified and qualified security trainers understand the confusion an incident can create and work effectively with the appointed Incident Commanders to produce the practical and physical processes required to bring an incident quickly under control.

Incident action plans ensure that everyone is working in concert toward the same goals with the direction for actions to be taken identified in the plan.

Incident Management Plans (IMP) provide a coherent means of communicating the overall incident objectives for both operational and support activities. They include measurable strategic objectives to be achieved in a time frame called an Operational Period.

The consolidated IMP is a very in depth and important component of any incident. It reduces freelancing and ensures a coordinated response at the simplest level.

Can You Answer These Questions?

  • What do we want to do?
  • Who is responsible for doing it?
  • How do we communicate with each other?
  • What is the procedure if someone is injured?
  • Where are, our current plans kept?
  • Do we have an IMP?
  • What if we lose the building?
